As I will be heading to Vegas tomorrow to visit with my Grandmother and Great Grandmother, I thought I'd say goodbye to ICLW now. (I did all my comments for tomorrow today.)
It was fun to "meet" new people. I am happy that so many people came to see what I and my blog are all about. I actually have some followers now. :D Welcome friends. I have also in turn found some new blogs to follow as well. I don't know if I will participate in any more ICLW in the future though. I seemed to have put my foot in my mouth when leaving a very well intentioned comment on someones post asking for advice. (Not what I had intended to do in the least.) I feel so awful about that, that I don't want to offend anyone else, so I will thik about it next month and see if it is something I want to do then. (That is what is hard about writing on the Internet. You don't really know the person you are talking to, nor they you. Plus, they can't hear the way you are saying the words you are trying to say. So, the tone can be taken wrong.) I'm a people pleaser, and don't like drama.
But, all and all, it was a fun experience.
I doubt I'll be posting again before the new year.....so, Happy New Year!!!! See you all next year!!
this is my place to share my journey in life. From TTC to Mommy from IVF...and now a Gestational Surrogacy journey, as well as my everyday thoughts, feelings and opinions. There will be rants, raves and laughs. Feel free to come along.

Oh, what a wonderful day!!
Had such an amazing day!! Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday Jesus!!
Knew it would be rough on Kiwi today. She went to bed later than normal last night bc of the Christmas Eve festivities at our house. Then, we had to wake her up today, earlier than normal. (I let her wake up on her own every day. Lately she's been getting up between 9:30 and 10 AM.) Poor thing didn't want to get up. She was so fussy. However, as soon as I said that Santa had come, she perked right up. Quick diaper change, then downstairs we went to go check out what Santa brought!! It was so amazing to see her face when she saw her kitchen!!! She LOVED it!!! She played in it, in fact we had to pry her away from it to get ready to go. Not even the promise of seeing her favorite people (Grammie and Grandpa,) would make her budge.
Traffic was unbelievably good today. We arrived early to my parents house, even after leaving late. Got more wonderful gifts, we are so spoiled!! Then a yummy lunch before heading to my Uncle's. More great food and amazing family time. Kids opened their gifts, then came Bunco time!! (Oh my goodness, Kiwi was awful during the day. No nap, as my Uncle's event started right at nap time. She was exhausted! Poor thing was too fussy.) I won again at Bunco.....don't clap too loud, it was for biggest loser AGAIN!! LOL. I lost 14 out of 18 games. Seriously not joining any bunco groups soon. :) My mom won most wins, she won 13 games. It was so fun though, and that is always what matters most.
Kiwi went straight to bed, G is watching tv, and I am here. Relaxing, and trying to catch up on my ICLW comments! Hope you all had a great Christmas!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Merry Christmas everybody! I hope you have a great day!
We had a very nice evening with family tonight. Delicious food, fun games, nice gifts and great family bonding time. Kiwi made out like a bandit. Santa has even already stopped by our house!! My goodness the kitchen he brought her is huge and well stocked with food (an entire stocking full, plus some from her Great Aunt and Uncle too) as well as a few pots and dishes. I really hope she loves it as much as I think she will.
Tomorrow is going to be an early day. Waking up to see what Santa brought, then exchanging gifts between G, Kiwi and I (as well as opening gifts sent from family and friends from out of the area.) Then, heading over to my parents for a light lunch and gift exchange with my immediate family (minus my brother and brother in law.) After that, heading to my Uncle's for another holiday feast and fun games of bunco!! Fun, fun fun!! I love family time!

Hello ICLW!!
Hello to anyone who ventures over for ICLW (international comment leaving week/ IComLeavWe.) This is my first time participating in ICLW. I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to find others (blogs) that are in the same boat as me, plus allow people into my journey.
So, WELCOME!! Thank you for coming, and thank you in advance for commenting. I look forward to hearing what you all have to say, as well as learning about you and your journeys. I will post a little about me, so you will learn a little about my journey now. However, please do read my past posts, as they have all the details and they will give you mush more insight into who I am and what my journey has been like.
In a nutshell, I ttc for 8 years (and 2 husbands) before tests showed that both my tubes were blocked. Ivf would be my only chance at getting pregnant. G (my hubby) and I did ivf in June 2008 and it failed. I then had surgery in August 2008 and had both my tubes removed. After waiting 6 weeks to recover, we went back to the RE. We decided to do a fet, and on Nov 1st, 2008 transferred in 3 snow babies. 1 stuck, and our beautiful miracle baby girl, Kiwi, was born in July 2009. We are so blessed to have her in our lives, she is now almost 17 months old. We are planning on starting the ivf process again in March of 2011. This time we have decided to do pgd for gender selection, so we can complete our family with the addition of a boy. Once we get the bfp results from March's ivf cycle, we are planning on placing any remaining embryos from that cycle (as well as the 2 we still have frozen from June 2008) for adoption, via embryo adoption. I currently am looking for the right couple to raise our embryos.
Please feel free to comment honestly and ask anything you want. I will reply as promptly as I can, with the same honesty. Thank you again for stopping by. Feel free to follow me, I'd love to have some new friends on this journey.

Time to catch up
It has been awhile since I've posted. Not that there is anything new or exciting to post about (nor is anyone following me to read this...LOL.)I can't believe Christmas is only 8 days away! This year has flown by!!
Incredibly, I only have 2 people to shop for still. My amazing parents took Kiwi to Sea World for the day last weekend. That gave G and I the whole day to ourselves. It was great! We went and had a couples massage, and then got all of our Christmas shopping done (we forgot one person, and then I decided to to pick a name off the angel tree as well, so 2 more to shop for now.)We went grocery shopping a few days ago, so I have all the food for the Christmas Eve gathering we're hosting! I am so excited! Our first Christmas back home. Our first Christmas in our house as a family. (G and I moved right after we got married, so this is our first Christmas in our house married as well.)
G and my dad put the Christmas lights up outside last night. I still have to decorate inside....I'm a procrastenater. (I just put away my Halloween decorations last week. LOL.)On our date day, G and I got our beautiful Christmas tree, hopefully we'll get to decorate that this weekend. I just love Christmas. Everyone is so cheery and family time is in abundance.
On the ivf front: We are still hoping to do ivf in March. However, money is tight. (We are like a large portion of Americans, and don't have any savings.) Thankfully I have a very strong support system. We were able to borrow from family for our first ivf, and they have agreed to loan to us again this time....however, they want all of our credit card debt gone before they will. We moved back 7 months ago with no debt, but now have nearly $9000!!! G needing tools for work is the big portion of the debt, but we did get a brand new ultra nice fridge a few weeks ago. So, I am hoping that our tax return refund will be a big one. But, I don't think it will cover the entire debt. I really want Kiwi to have a sibling close in age to her. Starting the process in March would put her and the baby 2.5 years apart, perfect.

I Would Die For That, by Kellie Coffey
This song is AMAZING!! Kellie Coffey is great!! This video is incredible!! It brings me to tears every time I watch it. I just got Kellie's cds for my birthday. I crank this song in the car, and (when safe) look in my rear view mirror at the beautiful miracle sitting behind me!
This song touches so many places in my heart, as I have been on both sides! I have been that teenager left with the most awful and dificult desicion to make....and then I'v ebeen the infertile women wishing, hoping, praying and dreaming of becoming a mother. Please watch it, but grab some tissues first. :)
